Primary Responsibilities

  • Grow and manage a diverse staff of environmental and cultural resource professionals. Establish and grow market presence in area through marketing and business development
  • Take the lead on client coordination, proposals, marketing, staff supervision, and project execution including meeting scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Coordinate strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders
  • Routinely (weekly) coordinate with the Natural & Cultural Resources Practice Leader and other practice members
  • Manage financialbudget for department and allocate resources accordingly
  • Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff
  • Engage in a reasonable amount of travel, typically in-state

  • Must have the desire to grow a practice serving Federal, State, and local/municipal clients
  • Ability to develop environmental/technical reports, manage sub-consultants, manage natural/cultural resource and planning staff, develop technical and cost proposals, develop/deliver presentations to clients, and perform business development
  • Must be able to write at a professional level and present ideas in a well-thought out and comprehensive manner
  • Enjoy a variety of working conditions ranging from field efforts to office analysis


  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in Natural/Environmental Science, Ecology, Archaeology, Historic Preservation, Planning, Environmental Policy, or related discipline is required,  A Master’s degree, CEP, AICP or related certifications are a plus

  • 10+ years of experience in the Environmental or Cultural Resources field
  • Significant experience working with the Texas Department ofTransportation (TxDOT), managing projects and has been the single point of contact with clients
