Position Summary

This role is responsible for working directly with the End User via compete understanding and execution of our Trade Marketing strategy in: “ORGANIZATION | ASSOCIATION | COMPANY” strategy to drive awareness, conviction, conversion, and loyalty by understanding a broad range of products, applications, and distributor models to effectively determine what products best fits the needs of End User from their Boardroom to their Tool Room. Understanding and implementing marketing assets, communication, training, and rebate management is essential.

You will be responsible for building relationships with the:

ORGANIZATIONS: Further develop the relationship with the National Office – focused on the Training department as well as execute the local Labor Unions training strategy through select centers within our focused MSA markets.

ASSOCIATIONS: From the National Office to the Local chapters; developing and executing a strategy that drives sales through specific execution. From the National Conferences to the Local events; you’ll be called-upon to be the ambassador of the company at the National level and provide the Commercial team with a turn-key strategy to execute at the local levels.

COMPANY: Included in this strategy, you will be required to execute the strategy by delivering the local Commercial team a complete understanding of the Company members – their interrelationship and inner-connectivity to the overall strategy. You’ll provide targeted lists; identify opportunities; and track conversion progression throughout. You will deploy corporate assets and financial incentives to drive Conversions.

COMMUNICATION: You will be responsible for building a strategic marketing communication plan, in working with our Customer Experience team, which identifies the specific needs of the Trade throughout the three pillars of the strategy.

Communicating throughout our organization and working with our regional and local Sales, Marketing, and Service teams to activate the strategy via regular communication and reporting is paramount.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or related fields
  • 10+ years’ experience in Sales or Marketing within the Construction/Industrial Industry
  • Jobsite or construction knowledge preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications; Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook;
  • Ability to collaborate with the appropriate internal team members to deploy your strategy
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, verbal and written communication, organization, and multi-tasking skills as well as regular/timely upkeep of all administrative requirements is a must.
  • Proven track record delivering results
  • Demonstrate time management skills, ability to set priorities and self-motivation is required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Physical Ability totravelregularly
    • Up to 40% Overnight Travel

Strategy Management

  • Must have the ability to build relationships and work effectively with all levels of an organization to drive strategy, influence owners and generate revenue.
  • Drive End User engagement through strategic planning sessions, follow-ups, meetings, and LMT involvement.
  • Sale of DEWALT suite of products and related brands throughout the strategy.
  • Achieve sales goals based on company and local market goals
  • Establish and develop key relationships within the Building Trades by supporting all aspect of their business and associations to include the Training Managers; Safety Managers; Innovation/Technology Committees; and Marketing Communication teams
  • Utilize SalesForce.com as well as Stanley Black & Decker’s Workplace to organize, execute, and document your successes and challenges and communicate to the rest of the team your progress related to the execution of your strategy so that they can support you both locally and globally as it relates to our Trade Marketing strategy.
