Description

The National Sales Manager is responsible for achieving the sales quota for all RGB Spectrum products to all domestic regions and for the management of all domestic Regional Sales Managers.

Work Performed

  • Responsible for achieving the quarterly and annual sales quota for assigned areas through the efforts of Regional Sales Managers and at critical times through their own personal sales efforts.
  • Work with the Regionals Sales Managers to develop/improve their sales skills.
  • Recruiting of Regional Sales Managers.
  • Attend national and regional shows providing support for setup, tear down and working the booth.
  • Manages the RegionalSalesManagers to achieve the following objectives:
    • Achieve the regional quarterly and annual sales quota.
    • Handle all sales leads and inquiries in a timely manner.
    • Handle technical support calls when necessary.
    • Conduct dealer training sessions within the region.
    • Do quotations for all RFQ’s within the region.
    • Managing the Major Design Wins (MDW), to include preparing and maintaining a MDW Action Plan for each account. Plans to be presented at quarterly sales meetings. All visits to MDW’s need to be reported on a trip report to the VP of Sales.
    • Maintaining an accurate forecast of sales by account for the next 90-120 days and a MDW forecast by account for the next 2 years.
    • Track the sales performance of the region verses quota by rep territory.
    • Results of all contacts must be documented in MS CRM.
  • Complete expense accounts on a weekly basis and completion of all other administrative requirements in a timely manner.
  • Timely submission of all forecast, sales plans and administrative paperwork.

Normal Job Requirements

Education and training:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent directly related experience in technical sales and sales management.
  • Technical degreepreferred.

Skills and knowledge required:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent directly related experience in technical sales and sales management.
  • Technical degreepreferred.
  • Requires excellent management, communication and selling skills.
  • The ability to quickly learn technical products.
  • A self-starter highly motivated to close sales with the ability to learn simulation and command and control applications and use this knowledge in a consultative sales approach is required.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of sales management with increases in sales results, preferably managing a geographically diverse employee population.
