The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the increased sales performance and profitability of Sievert Tool through establishing sales strategies and achieving quarterly and yearly sales goals. This position requires broad knowledge of the company?s products, services and policies relative to customers. The Sievert National Sales Manager must display professionalism and enthusiasm in representing ROTHENBERGER USA and must have the interpersonal skills to work effectively with Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Manufacturing and other departments within the company along with distributors and end-users. The Sievert National Sales Manager reports to the President/General Manager.


  • Develops and implements a strategic sales plan for national sales
  • Keeps current with demand and supply of company products
  • Establishes personal networks across all regions
  • Ensures successful achievement of the company?s sales goals across all regions
  • Conducts on-the-job demonstrations for all products to prospective end-users as needed
  • Maintains awareness of competitors and product lines
  • Develops effective sales strategy and ensures timely implementation
  • Represents Company at trade shows, distributor meetings, etc.
  • Understands product features and benefits and must be able to do basic maintenance of key product line
  • Maintains regular calls and visit frequently major users
  • Maintains a demo inventory and accurate records of same, for user evaluations and demonstrations
  • Completes and submits timely expense reports
  • Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors


  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field or the equivalent experience
  • A minimum of five years of salesexperience with demonstrated achievements in selling industrial products through distribution is required
  • Negotiation skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships both internally or externally
  • Knowledge of the plumbing distribution function is preferred
  • Management skills
  • Computer literacy is required
  • Ability to perform complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge, its application to a variety of situations
  • Must exercise independent judgment
  • Ability to be proactive and plan effectively
  • Ability to perform extensive travel as well as overnight travel via air
  • Must possess a current, active driver?s license
  • This position may exert up to 70 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently as well as the use of arm and/or leg controls with exertion greater than that of sedentary work
  • May also push, pull, lift, carry, grasp, finger or otherwise move objects
  • Must be able to operate an automobile and travel by airplane
