Description  

Celadon, one of North America’s largest transportation providers, is looking for a National Sales, Intermodal Product Specialist member to work across its Sales and Intermodal divisions. Celadon is looking for an individual with a combination of demonstrated sales excellence and in depth intermodal product knowledge. This includes intermodal services for Canada, US, and Mexico, dry and temperature controlled, container and trailer, domestic and cross border.

The overall goals of National Sales, Intermodal Product Specialist are to (1) maximize intermodal sales opportunities already available through Celadon’s existing customer partnerships, (2) act as a resource to Celadon’s Canadian, US, and Mexican sales teams, and to (3) solicit new customer relationships around intermodal where beneficial. The National Sales, Intermodal Product Specialist will support all aspects of intermodal business development from cradle to grave in conjunction with account owners. They will be utilizing our CRM tool on a daily basis to maintain constant tracking and follow up in order to grow Celadon’s intermodal account base and manage existing relationships.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generating new intermodal sales revenue in conjunction with Celadon’s existing sales team
  • Independently generating new intermodal sales revenue where customer relationships with Celadon do not yet exist, including prospecting or cold calling as needed
  • Creating and developing face to face relationships with Celadon’s existing sales team throughout Canada, US, and Mexico
  • Developing the intermodal pipeline amongst Celadon’s existing sales team
  • Responsible to manage all aspects of customers who fall within the individual’s direct book of business
  • Support the sales process from cradle to grave including customer visits with account owners, pipeline development, intermodal product knowledge, pricing review, customer onboarding, ongoing development, etc.
  • Tracking and maintaining all sales activities in the company CRM
  • Maintaining solid understanding of current market conditions and business trends to create offers for customers
  • Participating actively in growth of division and exceeding corporate initiatives

Minimum Requirements  

Job Requirements:

  • 4 yearBachelorDegree
  • 5yearstransportation/logisticsexperience including in depth knowledge of intermodal throughout Canada, US, and Mexico
    • TOFC, COFC, 40’, temp controlled, asset and non asset programs, cross border
  • 5 years salesexperience
  • Proven self starter
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent follow up and attention to detail
  • Commitment to travel as needed
