The Director of the Division of Neuroscience will lead a group of approximately 60 professional staff. The research portfolio of the Division of Neuroscience includes an annual budget of over $1 billion dollars in grants and over $30 million in R&D contracts.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. or M.D., and have senior-level research experience, knowledge of neuroscience research programs and strong abilities to lead the development and execution of collaborative work. This individual should be known and respected within the neuroscience community. S/he should have demonstrated leadership, organizational skills, and have broad visionary capabilities, with demonstrated ability to collaborate with researchers and other stakeholders in the science community. S/he should have experience developing and setting strategic priorities, as well as communicating and promoting scientific advances, and should have demonstrated skills in managing human and financial resources and budgetary planning.
