Growing housewares/hardware products manufacturer is looking to add a National Accounts Manager to their sales team.
They are seeking dynamic, sharp and dedicated individuals to manage the sales of their products to the DIY stores (Home Depot, Lowe's etc) and other mass merchants, clubs, retail chains nationwide in a very fast paced environment.
Ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of salesexperience in the hardware or housewares industry industry, experience calling on headquarter/national accounts, strong contacts with buyers, proven track record of success with retailers in a consumer products company environment.
The ideal candidate is someone who is hands-on, willing to travel as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities, but not limited to:
•Develop and increase sales with DIY stores, Mass Merchants, Clubs
•Maintenance and growth of existing accounts
•Development of new sales opportunities, special programs/planograms and cross merchandising
•Manage product lines through an ongoing evaluation of current products and positioning
•Develop and execute plans to achieve sales targets
•Evolve strategies to penetrate key accounts
•Attend major trade shows
•Minimum 5 years of experienceselling at the national accounts level to the DIY stores.
•Proven managerial skills in the business environment such as retail buying, sales management, or product management
•Good existing relationship with buyers and major retail accounts
•Competitive approach to sales along with highly developed presentation skills
•Willingness to provide prompt service to customers’ requests at all times
•Track record of continuous success and upward-sloping growth
•Great communication skills
•Able to make sales presentations to customers
•Initiative to create ideas and implement concepts to build customer base
•Create and Set up successful Plan-o-grams
•Computer Literate- proficient in business software applications excel knowledge is a must.
•Ability to close deals and work with customers directly
•Meet deadlines and work parallel with timelines
•Thrive in an energized, fast-paced environment
•Able to juggle several tasks simultaneously
•Excellent Organizational Skills
