PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Retail Customer Development Manager will be responsible to develop specific customer go-to-market plans and strategies across all our strategic business lines to achieve our organization’s sales and profits goals within national account.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Execute all related sales functions for National accounts to achieve budgeted revenue, market share and profit objectives.
Execute all related sales functions at this National account to achieve budgeted revenue, market share and profit objectives.
Secure distribution ACV objectives on all items at this National account within our Marketing Channels.
Perform regular category review analysis, close distribution gaps and secure fair share space at preferred eye level schematic position. Provide timely accurate forecasting by item for promotional activity.
Further develop account/customer relationship to become category expert.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
5-10 years retail sales headquarter account experience with food/CPG organization
5 years specific national retail account experience with full account responsibility including developing promotional plans and category schematics.
New item introduction featuring customized national account launch experience
Trade promotional planning with P & L responsibilities
Strong analytical skills; including category management and trade promotional efficiency experience
Proficient with Microsoft office, TPM/SAP, syndicated IRI and account specific data (Demand Tec, Optura)
Strong organization, interpersonal and communications skills
Customer Shopper Marketing experience at a national account
Previous sales experience in a category leader role position at a national account.
Valid Driver’s License, ability to regularly travel for multiple days
