•Responsible for creating, managing and driving a pipeline of National Accounts which include health systems, payer systems and nationally recognized community based non-profits.
•Relationships are pinnacle and will be a key measure of your success. The expectation is that this will be done leveraging the existing Netsmart customer base and through frequent customer visits, calls and conference attendance.
•Many opportunities will require a traditional sales approach to progress opportunities through stages. Large strategic opportunities often require a business development approach and outside-the-box thinking to further the opportunity.
•Sales cycle generally ranges from 6-18 months and requires commitment and dedication to creating a true partnership.
•This position will require approximately 50% travel and can be remote from the Western U.S. or Midwest
•Qualify leads from executive calling program as well as proactive target-based prospects.
•Generate new business by prospecting for new customers in person and via the telephone.
•Thoroughly understand the Netsmart offering of solutions and services and the value proposition provided by each
•Understand clients business needs and suggest appropriate solutions to match those needs
•Retain all existing accounts through regular direct contact with all current and prospective customers
•Manage and maintain a database of current clients
•Work with technical and marketing support staff to qualify and complete RFPs
•Handle multiple functions and priorities with high level of effectiveness
•Engage in proactive customer initiatives to provide accounts with proper level of service and support
•Must be able to demonstrate high level of achievement of at least 5 years of sales experience with technology related products or services in the medical services provider marketplace, with emphasis on behavioral health, public health and other human service settings.
•Over Quota achievement is the minimum requirement.

•Excellent contract and proposal development skills
•Travel as needed (up to 50% of the time)
•PC Literacy and knowledge of standard office products and sales tools
•IT or technology background in school or business
•Knowledge of the healthcare industry, ideally acute care health systems and/or behavioral health will be well received
•EMR/EHR background is certainly helpful and not necessary
•Minimum of a 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
