Responsibilities:

Assigned to a set of existing large accounts, complex, high visibility, strategic, or tactically important accounts

The field sales new business representative will develop sales strategies and attract new clients. This individual will source new sales opportunities, will self-generate leads with no reliance on marketing programs, will negotiate & close sales to achieve quotas

The job of an Account Sales Representative involves working inside and outside the office environment developing existing business and growing revenue potential of existing accounts through maximizing the sales of Website Security services. High level of initiative and working well in a fast-pace team environment is key

The compensation structure is on target earnings with a pay Mix – 60% Base / 40% Incentive. 100% Quota carry role with no de-accelerator on pay-out

The role will be measured on existing accounts only. This role will be given a target list where volume and value depends on territory

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant experience in a sales position, preferably for a technology company generating new business opportunities within large enterprise customers

Proven sales experience and acquisition of new business customers

Track record of generating business leads, negotiating and closing, & over-achieving quota

Forecast sales, report and provide feedback to management using financial statistical data

Familiarity with different basic sales techniques, mainly solution selling methodologies

Self-motivated and driven

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills as the job requires describing services in order to persuade a potential customer to make a purchase

University level degree, or a qualification in business, marketing, sales, management or a similar subject is useful

Ability to analyze, assess and address customer’s needs

Goal oriented, self-motivated with positive energy and drive representing Symantec in a professional and courteous manner at all times

Demonstrate ability to work effectively and independently in a demanding, fast pace, every changing sales team environment. Ability to use initiative and think quickly in order to close a sale

Attend meeting, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments

Competency in computer use is vital

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Multi-lingual (depending on location)
