Position Summary:

The MyAIG.com Product Leads reports to the Head of Product who reports to the global Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and is responsible for leading the development strategy of MyAig.com. The Product Lead has responsibility for the full lifecycle of this logged-in, external facing website and will be responsible for creating new features to meet the needs of all users including customers and brokers. The MyAIG.com Product Lead plays a critical role in product development, strategy and managing a complex product that serves multiple business units. The MyAIG.com product lead must not only manage the needs of the business today, but also work steadily towards the long-term business objectives to ensure on-time delivery and value added delivery of a key AIG web property.

Position Requirements:
The Ideal Candidate will have:

Process and Relationships
• Experience in a product delivery or product management role
• Proven skills at developing business cases in an Agile workplace
• Experience creating online products from inception to launch
• Experience creating omni-channel online user experiences
• Must have strong consulting and account relationship skills and methods
• Participates in the development and preparation of short-term and long-term plans and budgets for Digital activities
• Experience driving strategic planning discussions with IT and Non-IT audiences
• Experience in driving innovation into traditional business processes
• Able to establish and nurture relationships with Senior Business/IT leaders, external technology partners and start-ups

Strategic and Technical Thinking
• Participate in an iterative, Agile approach to delivering solutions as a part of a greater vision
• Participate in scrum process from leading steering committee to product launch activities and defining and managing the product roadmap and backlog for MyAIG.com
• Create and document epics, user stories, personas and journeys for MyAIG.com and work closed with QA teams on detailed requirements to drive product decisions
• Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities and enhance existing products and services
• Maintains a deep understanding of Digital Capabilities and the art-of-the-possible
• Deep knowledge of web technologies and digital components
• Ability to connect the dots between problems and solutions
• Experience in building strategy, and able to influence a variety of stakeholders 
• Current on the latest trends, competitors and start-ups across the industry
Business and Consulting Acumen
• Must have a strong business acumen and understanding of the Financial business and processes (Insurance experience a plus)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to present, facilitate and influence a wide range of stakeholders
• Must be able to clearly explain complex technological solutions and possibilities to business leaders in simple terms and concepts
• Able to learn new business and operating models across the AIG businesses
• Partner with IT leaders to proactively assess future demand and accordingly initiate vendor assessments and relationship building exercises
• Drive best practices and governance around Digital capabilities and strategy for MyAIG.com

Job Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience, with at least 5+ years direct experience in product management and strategy
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional and diverse teams to meet strategic objectives
• Experience with Agile methodology; Agile certification a plus
• Experience with business process redesign and simplification
• Strong understanding of website technology, principles and design
• Must be able to discover and understand customer needs and apply this to competitive research and testing to oversee the development of a market-ready product in an iterative and fast-moving environment
• Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and reasoning skills
• Strong demonstrated business acumen and excellent communication skills
• Previous Financial or Banking industry experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or engineering or a related business field preferred
