 CENTRUS (WSP/HOK) is currently seeking a Municipal Road Engineer to join our Temporary Construction Road Team, located at our Integrated Project Office.  Reporting to the Project Manager this position will be responsible for leading the design team for the civil roadway works.


  • Develop and deliver progress reports, status updates, design deliverables coordination with sub disciplines

  • Preparation of engineeringreports, documents, and drawings involving the planning, analysis and design of civil roadways

  • Coordinate with linear infrastructure teams

  • Coordinate the preparation of drawings required for approvals, submissions and tender packages

  • Development of construction specifications in national master specifications in coordination of the construction management team

  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets and quality control standards are achieved

  • Provide constructionsupport and/or administration for roadway projects as required

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to CAD operators and junior technical staff

  • Provide Quality Management by ensuring quality procedures are followed for drawings and reports

  • Other duties as assigned


  • University or college degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in the field of road design and construction

  •  PEO member in good standing with valid P.Eng. Designation with a minimum of 8 yrs demonstrated experience

  • Design experience in AutoCAD, and Civil3D (2016) software will set you apart from your peer group

  • Experienced in project management on civil infrastructure and roadways considered an asset

  • Experience within an engineering consulting environment is preferred

  • Qualified for PSPC Reliability clearance mandatory, Secret considered an asset

  • Familiarity with City of Ottawa, TAC, NMS and OPS standards and guidelines is a requirement
