ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
ADL (Anti-Defamation League) is the leading anti-hate organization in the world. Founded in 1913 in response to an escalating climate of antisemitism and bigotry, its essential mission hasn’t changed in more than 100 years: to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all. Today, ADL continues to fight all forms of hate with the same vigor and passion. ADL is the first call when acts of antisemitism occur. A global leader in exposing extremism, delivering anti-bias education, and fighting hate online, ADL’s ultimate goal is a world in which no group or individual suffers from bias, discrimination or hate.
ADL’s CEO and National Director, Jonathan Greenblatt—an accomplished leader and entrepreneur in the corporate, public, and nonprofit sectors—was recruited to the organization in July 2015. He has injected new energy and brought a bold vision to the agency. Under Jonathan’s leadership, ADL is transforming itself, upgrading its capabilities, leveraging innovation, building partnerships, and pioneering new horizons.
ADL Education (“EDU”) is a geographically distributed team headquartered in NYC that is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of ADL’s anti-bias education products and programs. This position works across time–zones with distributed teams. As a member of a committed and driven ADL Education team, you will make a meaningful contribution to the growth and success of ADL’s online learning portfolio.
The Multimedia Developer will work at the direction of ADL’s Director for Online Learning, from the planning stages through delivery of online learning products for educator and student audiences. Product development will vary from microlearning to extended facilitated, and self-guided online courses. Multimedia development may also be needed for educational resources and curriculum that are accessible online.
The Multimedia Developer is responsible for using appropriate authoring and design tools to develop the visual identity of online learning products, and for designing and producing all the visual elements and multimedia assets used in online courses, workshops, and webinars. Additionally, this role is responsible for building online courses inside the learning management system from blueprints and storyboards. We expect the Multimedia Developer to apply innovative design skills across a variety of platforms and learning environments as well as an understanding of best practices and current trends in media development for online learning.
