The Multi Family Regional Account Manager for Banner Bank solicits and originates qualifying multifamily loans for the bank’s portfolio and for sale in the secondary market.

As a Multi Family Regional Account Manager for Banner Bank, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Market multifamily loan products and services while using market opportunities to coordinate the cross selling of other bank services and to develop deeper customer relationships
  • Understand the dynamics of multifamily markets and recognize market strengths and weaknesses
  • Provide initial underwriting of multifamily transactions to ensure loans meet policy guidelines
  • Solicit multifamily loans from mortgage brokers, mortgage bankers, realtors and direct borrowers
  • Solicit direct borrower relationships by calling on the real estate brokerage community and through utilization of referrals and market resources
  • Call on branch personnel to assist in the establishment of business relationships by offering multifamily lending products to meet customer needs
  • Work with production administrative staff to ensure the timely closing of loan transactions

Travel: Overnight travel may be up to 10% - 15%

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance or equivalent work experience required

Experience

  • 5 or more years of multifamily income property lending experience required
  • Excellent understanding of the specific lending region in which he/she operates required
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to banking

Preferred Skills

  • Proficient in preliminary underwriting analysis of multifamily operating statements and the analysis and interpretation of tax returns, financial statements, preliminary title reports, appraisals, legal documentation and complex borrowing entities
  • Language Skills Proficiency in English language, foreign language skills are a plus
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Decisive problem solving, efficient time management, and strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with customers, vendors, and various members within the department, including management
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
