The position is located in Beaverton, OR. 
Job Description:

Maxim is seeking a Process Engineer to provide support to the Diffusion group of Manufacturing Operations by optimizing existing manufacturing processes for analog/mixed-signal silicon device fabrication.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshooting processing equipment failures

  • Optimizing equipment configuration to maximize output

  • Installation and qualification of new tools

  • Developing and monitoring process and equipment measurements to improve quality

  • Root cause investigation of discrepant material and implementation of yield improvement programs

  • Developing new manufacturing processes to improve yield, quality, cost, and cycle time.

  • Writing operating and equipment maintenance specifications

  • Identifying and qualifying new materials and equipment suppliers

  • Training and mentoring production technicians

  • At least 1 year process engineeringexperience sustaining wafer fab production furnaces at a 24 x 7 production facility.

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in Materials Science, ElectricalEngineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, or related.

  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 for undergraduateand graduate-level coursework

  • Experience with SEMY controller software.

  • Experience with ASM CSAR controller software.

  • Superb computer and math skills, including statistics.

  • Proficient with Visual Basic, Python, Java or similar programming language  

  • Able to communicate with audience at any technical level

  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, practical thinker, and problem solver who is a quick learned and has the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
