Our employees are not only part of history, they’re making history.   Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Modeling and Simulation Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) IPT of the GBSD program. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.   The selected candidate will lead the development of modeling and simulation for system performance and architecture.   Essential Duties

  • Modeling and Simulation engineer with modeling, simulation, and analysis experience to lead the demonstration and visualization analysis
  • Modeling and Simulation experience with Matlab and/or Python
  • Lead and coordinate with engineers and analysts to integrate information into a demonstration and generate the analysis of visualization results
  • Strong analytical thinking and systems/SE approach

 

Qualifications

 Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an ABET accredited institution and 9 years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment OR
  • Masters of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an ABET accredited institution and 7 years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment OR
  • Doctorate of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an ABET accredited institution and 4 years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment
  • Demonstrated Modeling and Analysis experience in Matlab or other related modeling tools
  • Experience with C, C++, Perl or Python
  • Work experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, and/or Cameo
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SSBI

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Operational Research, Applied Mathematics
  • Demonstrated modeling and analysis experience working space program
  • Working knowledge in various aspects of architecture modeling for Space and/or Unmanned Aerial Systems
  • Strong communication skills required to support frequent customer interactions
