Role Summary:

The Model Based Software Engineering Technical Manager will provide technical leadership and oversight to a team of software engineers to develop next generation military mission systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

Team growth – Rigorous development of existing pipeline talent leveraging state of the art technologies.

Team growth – Sustainable acquisition of new talent.

Team execution within the schedule, cost, technical, and quality constraints of project assignments

Assign and acquire qualified personnel for projects

Collaborate across the organization to identify and resolve project issues and ensure that project deliverables are met

Functional, business and broad company objectives including strategic workforce planning, integration and development of process in line with business needs across your functional area

Technical Competence in high performance mission computing


Master's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience

Minimum 5 years of experience as an individual contributor within an engineering environment

Minimum 5 years of experience in a program or project leadership role within an engineering environment

Eligibility Requirement :

Ability and willingness to travel a minimum 10% of the time

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Flexible with office location Grand Rapids, MI or Clearwater, FL
