Mobile Software Engineer - IOS at PayPal in Austin, TX

As an Identity Experience mobile software engineer, you will be responsible for working on applications and services that handle all aspects of the PayPal authentication system. You will work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation and experimentation are a given. You will master both established and cutting edge technologies like Objective C, Swift, XCode, and others.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Supports native iOS app development by converting ideas, designs, and requirements into concrete, stable production builds
• Contributes to solutions for specific use cases that provide frameworks, interfaces, and services that can be extended and reused for future requirements
• Works with product, project, and engineering teams to deliver products on schedule that solve our customers’ problems
• Collaborates with Engineering and QA to resolve bugs

Required Technical Skills

• 1+ years of mobile development experience
• Knowledge of multi-threaded, asynchronous code
• Experience with animation, and implementing user interface designs
• Knowledge of design patterns such as MVC and MVVM
• Skilled at writing Unit and Automation tests
• B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Desired Technical Skills

• Thorough understanding of XCode
• Expert understanding of Swift and Objective-C
• Solid understanding of Cocoa Frameworks
