The Charge Pharmacist is responsible to provide pharmaceutical care from Central Pharmacy during the midnight shift and assure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accrediting organizations. This position also coordinates, directs, and evaluates the activities of all technical personnel on the midnight shift. He/she will coordinate the workflow to meet the current needs of patients. The Midnight Charge Pharmacist assists the supervisor with the application of continuous quality improvement initiatives and assures staff adherence to policies and procedures of the department and medical center during daily operations. He/she is responsible to maintain all quality assurance activities and proper documentation during the midnight shift.
Note: Must have pediatric and IV room dispensing experience. This position is a position that it's seven days on and seven days off overnights.

Must be a graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) leading to a Bachelor of Science or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy.


Current Nevada license to practice pharmacy or eligibility required.


Minimum of two years experience as a registered pharmacist in a hospital pharmacy.

Prior experience supervising or coordinating technical staff preferred.

Prior experience with computerized unit dose and IV admixture services, as well as, automated systems preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Comprehensive knowledge of rules, regulations, and applicable laws as they pertain to pharmacy practice standards.
