Middleware Administrator at Talan in Montreal, QC

Planaxis / Talan is currently looking for a Middleware Administrator for a permanent position with one of our major clients in Montreal (we will also consider a consultant for this role)

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the implementation of the automation of infrastructure components in order to deliver and provide infrastructure services to other groups of expert administrators using the tools favored by the team
• Design solutions embodying the 'Infrastructure as Code' philosophy with a set of standardized tools around Ansible, in a highly virtualized environment on an internal infra
• Develop and support the automation tools and mechanisms offered by infrastructure services as part of projects or during operational activities
• Create, update and enrich perpetual documentation of operations or projects
• Train and assist colleagues in the development, improvement and evolution of automated systems carried out, whether in terms of new solutions or improvements to already existing solutions

Required profile :

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline
• Four (4) years + of relevant experience
• Middleware administration experience such as Wesphere or Weblogic
• Automation experience (exp. Python)

Specific knowledge desirable (ASSETS)

• Java and / or Python expertise
• Ansible expertise (Ansible TOWER an asset)
• CI / CD tools: Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket / Git
• Linux & SGBD (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Virtualized environments (ESX-V, ESX-T)
