Middle School Principal
General Description: The Middle School Principal is the instructional leader and manager of the all operations and programming of the middle school.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Domain 1: Strategic/Cultural Leadership
Domain 2: Systems Leadership
Domain 3: Leadership for Learning
Domain 4: Professional and Community Leadership
Performs other duties as assigned by the superintendent.
Work Experience Requirements:
Five (5) years of satisfactory teaching experience.
Three (3) years of satisfactory K-12 administrative experience.

Middle school experience
Education Requirements
Master's Degree
Appropriate PDE Administrative Certification

Middle School Principal
General Description: The Middle School Principal is the instructional leader and manager of the all operations and programming of the middle school.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Domain 1: Strategic/Cultural Leadership
- Be the instructional leader in the building.
- Monitor student achievement, especially the progress of students with learning disabilities or students who are failing to meet state proficiency.
- Maintain a positive school climate.
- Provide oversight of the physical plant and grounds.
Domain 2: Systems Leadership
- Assist in the interviewing and selection of building staff.
- Supervise teachers and staff.
- Evaluate the professional staff according to the Dallas School District Differentiated Supervision Plan.
- Provide a safe and orderly school environment
- Provide oversight of student behavior and handle all discipline cases.
- Manage the school budget and review and approve all requisitions.
- Supervise middle school/junior high athletics in collaboration with AD
Domain 3: Leadership for Learning
- Monitors the development of and implementation of the curriculum.
- Provides and programs for remediation for students.
- Provides and supports professional development opportunities for faculty.
Domain 4: Professional and Community Leadership
- Establish and maintain positive parent relations and work cooperatively with the parents and the community.
- Communicate with parents through the school website, mailings and paper notices.
- Develop and maintain positive relations with the community.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the superintendent, assistant to the superintendent or Board of Education.
