Mid-Level Systems Engineer at Modern Technology Solutions in Huntsville, AL

Responsibilities

MTSI is seeking an Intermediate Engineer to provide systems engineering support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Sensors Directorate (SN) Ground Sensors Engineering (SNE) organization. Some of the responsibilities are as follows:

(1) Provide technical assessment of sensors M&S requirement and performance specifications and assist with preparation of AoAs and COAs for sensors M&S product development and V&V activities;

(2) Assist with technical evaluations of sensors M&S development contractor proposals and cost estimates;

(3) Help guide MDA/SN validation teams through the V&V plan process; (4) Participate in reviewing and coordinating technical issues with MDA M&S accreditation organizations;

(5) Provide reviews of SN M&S V&V proposals, plans, technical memos, and final reports/briefings.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

- BS (MS desired) in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

- 10+ years’ experience in systems engineering, models and simulations, verification and validation, or software development

- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills

- Proficiency with Microsoft products

-Must have an Active SECRET Clearance

Desired Skills:

- Knowledge and experience in MDA/SN Radars operational systems and their system interactions

- Knowledge and experience in Missile Defense systems

- Knowledge and experience with M&S Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A)

- Knowledge and experience in MDA/SN Sensor M&S operations and analysis
