IAI has an immediate need for experienced Mid-Level Systems Engineers to support NGA’s Enterprise IT transformation and modernization efforts to achieve the GEOINT CONOPS 2022 and Cloud Migration.  This opportunity includes collaborating with mission users, reviewing and updating Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), Requirements and Architecture artifacts, preparing and conducting milestone events, identifying and executing opportunities to transition innovative technologies to operations and leveraging and optimizing Agile, IT Service Management, Content Management and cloud best practices


  • The candidate will work with the government architecture and engineering teams to recommend updates to artifacts and configuration managed baselines to facilitate user definition and acceptance of automation capabilities.\
  • The candidate will also collaborate with Mission Partners to enable transformation and interoperability of software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and infrastructure as a service (IaaS).

Required Skills:


  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related scientific or technical discipline
  • 11-15years’ experience with system engineering
  • 3+ years of experience at NGA, with NGA systems, architecture or engineering processes
  • Experience with software development, testing and deployments


Desired Skills:

  • Masters of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related scientific or technical discipline
  • Experience with Overhead, Airborne or Commercial GEOINT Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, Analysis, or Dissemination
  • Certification in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), ITIL Foundations v3, Scrummaster
  • Knowledge of current NGA processes and IT standards
  • Familiarity with Release Planning Events, Epics/Features/User Story decomposition, DevOps
  • Familiarity with GEOINT CONOPS 2022
  • Experience with technology transition from IRAD to operations

Security Requirements: Must currently hold a TS/SCI security clearance
