Mid-Level Structural Engineer at Hazen & Sawyer in Knoxville, TN

Hazen is currently seeking candidates for a Mid-Level Structural Engineer position. This will be a full-time employment opportunity in our Nashville or Knoxville office.

Prospective applicants must meet the following requirements:

• 5-15 years of experience as well as
• BS degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Concentration from an ABET accredited institution
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain such in the State of Tennessee

This position will require skills in the analysis, design, and construction of environmental structures such as Industrial Buildings, Pump Stations, Process Basins, and Treatment Facilities. The selected individual will lead the structural design and construction administration responsibilities for major projects involving upgrades to wastewater, water and reclaimed water treatment plants. The majority of projects will be located in Tennessee.

Experience and knowledge requirements include:

• Design and construction of structural steel
• Reinforced concrete
• Reinforced masonry
• Aluminum
• Knowledge of applicable building codes
• Design standards including ACI, AISC, ASCE
• Structural analysis and design software

Candidates must be effective communicators and have the ability to successfully work in a multi-discipline team environment.
