Overview of the Role:

The Mid-Atlantic Practice Operations Executive is responsible for overall P&L management of a given submarket. This individual oversees a team of Performance Consultants and Associates, and manages the region's clinically integrated multi-specialty practices in order to drive performance results.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Oversee all Privia activities in Region including deployment of resources, ensuring service standards are met for care centers, directly manage regional team of performance consultants, dedicated corporate resources etc.
  • Co - lead deployment of Performance Management Program for Mid - Atlantic Market (1200 providers, $500m revenue)
  • Set standards for Performance Management Program including development of team members to be able to execute on the following:
  • Create transparency with practices about their financial performance (or lack thereof), in order to drive change
  • Track and manage metrics and goals related to finance, revenue cycle, productivity, clinical performance, and customer experience
  • Identify areas of opportunity improvements through reviewing financial & clinical metrics
  • Provide top-notch customer service to physician practices to ensure issues are resolved and clients are satisfied
  • Build Expertise in capabilities of AthenaHealth's Performance Management System and EHR
  • Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable accreditation, statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Develop tools and resources for PM team
  • Ownership of Regional P&L to include:
  • Care Center Revenue & income Growth
  • Deployment of Privia resources
  • Deployment and creation of new revenue sources
  • Manage Privia growth, revenue and EBITDA targets
  • Drive outcomes in Risk based contracts, Medicare Shared Savings Programs etc.
  • Including participation in development of regionally specific programs
  • Market Growth and Strategy:
  • Work closely with sales team to identify and recruit new Care Centers
  • Develop Strategies to expand in region and consider adjacent new markets
  • Develop Business Plans with large care centers and aide in their growth and expansion
  • Identify and Pursue Potential Partnerships with:
  • Health Systems
  • IPAs and other provider organizations
  • Provider relationship management:
  • Manage the end-to-end relationship of a client in Privia, from implementation to performance management
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for the team and practice
  • Mentor and coach practice administrators, in the management of their practice and provide constructive feedback to providers and office staff

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Healthcare Master's or MBA highly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in physician practice management/leadership
  • Previous healthcare experience required; working with physicians and medical group staff
  • Experience managing a team to achieve individual and shared goals
  • Quantitatively and financially focused; must know how to read and manage a balance sheet and explain financial data
  • Tech Savvy
  • Successfully developed and achieved quality improvement measures in a medical field.
  • Managed multiple projects while providing exceptional client service
  • Must provide reliable transportation
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
