Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365FO) is the cloud native successor to Microsoft’s highly successful Dynamics AX 2012 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) product.
Avanade D365FO Systems Engineers are infrastructure transformation experts equipped with the experience, tools, and knowledge needed to help companies implement and support ERP systems that run their businesses.
They are involved in the following:
Environment/Infrastructure Design - designing D365FO environments (cloud and on-premises) per customer's requirements based on Microsoft’s best practice recommendations.
Environment/Platform Deployment - deploying the latest Microsoft systems software and Azure services.
Application Deployment - deploying and configuring all aspects of the D365FO ERP system.
Application Maintenance – application lifecycle maintenance using Visual Studio Team Services, D365FO administrative tasks (users, security, configuration, Dynamics Lifecycle Services).
Azure Services and On-Premises Data Center Operations – deploying and supporting the administration and operations of Azure Services and other third-party applications supporting D365FO be they in the cloud or on-premises.
Support of Live D365FO environments – support the ERP Managed Services team in all aspects of the above.
In a nutshell, Avanade D365FO Systems Engineers are usually involved in all technical aspects of a D365FO implementation project except for writing code.
Bachelor’s Degree: Technology related BA/BS or related experience
Requires 2 or more years of experience at system administrator level or equivalent on one, and ideally more, of the following Microsoft technologies:
Azure services (VM, SQL, AAD, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Service Fabric etc)
Windows Server OS
At least two years’ combined experience with AX/D365FO implementations or support in a technical and/or system administration capacity.
Strong customer focus and team player.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms with all levels within Avanade and customer organizations.
Demonstrated ability to work systematically and logically to analyze situations, resolve problems, identify causes and anticipate implications
Customer oriented attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
Dynamics AX 2012 or Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations or Azure certification
Scripting skills with PowerShell and/or Windows command batch files
Prior consulting and project based experience
Full cycle AX/D365FO project implementation experience
