The Manager of System/Server Administration is responsible for the installation, support, configuration, system enhancements and management of all Novell, Unix, and Microsoft servers. Directing and assisting with the deployment and maintenance of service level agreements. Leads all assigned personnel in daily activities. Manages the servers in the primary and secondary data centers. All other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor degree in computer science or related field preferred. Five years equivalent work experience in lieu of education will be considered. An advanced certification in server administration is highly recommended (Certified Microsoft MCSE, CLP, CLE9, UNIX Certified System Administrator (CSA), HP-UX Certification or other UNIX Certification Variant).
Required Minimum Experience: Minimum 10 years experience in the administration of servers. Prior experience in managing a large server environment (200 plus servers) utilizing multiple operating systems (Novell, Unix, and Microsoft).
Required Minimum Skills: Ability to manage servers in Open Systems environments - NT/Novell/Linux/Unix. Knowledge of LAN and WANnetwork environment, and desktop operating systems. Working knowledge of SAN technologies. Communication, presentation and customer relation skills. Good team building skills. Self motivator and strong leadership qualities, multitasking and problem resolution. Sound judgment and analytical ability’s. Supervisory skills, leading individuals on day to day activities.
