Job Overview Responsible for managing the execution of sales goals and objectives through building and maintaining an effective sales team while maintaining and growing established account base and prospecting for new business.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as an expert on the company's product and services portfolio while educating team members, new and existing customers. Sets team expectations while providing plans, goals and metrics. Coaches and fosters development of team members through tracking activity metrics and guiding performance management. Analyzes market trends and advises team on new and existing business leads. Develops and recommends sales and marketing strategies. Administers assigned budget(s) and maintains statistical records for forecasting, analysis and reporting. Lead and train a team to exceed sales goals and expectations set by management. Assists with development, enhancement and implementation of policies and procedures. Assists with maintaining staffing levels and is responsible for executing performance management for assigned team members. Manages accounts by building and developing client relationships through personalized contact, understanding of client's needs and expectations, and ability to communicate a value proposition by selling Crowley's end-to-end supply chain solutions. Challenge status quo with effective solutions and improvements to the achieve departmental sales goals. Required Experience 5 - 8 years of supervisory or managerial experience in the transportation/logistics industry, to include Customs Brokerage and Imports experience.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word. Proficient in customer relationship management tools, such as Microsoft CRM.

Required Education Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.
