The Land Portfolio Manager has responsibility to perform property-specific and estate-level valuations of timberland and real estate, lead and/or support timberland acquisitions due diligence, prepare investment proposals for executive management review, assist with strategic planning, gather market intelligence and provide land sales and other analytical decision support. The successful candidate will partner with Land Information Services, Forest Resources, Real Estate and Corporate support staff to conduct robust due diligence on both acquisition and disposition opportunities. Keys to success will be through a combination of strong project management skills, customer focus, application of technical/professional knowledge, managing work and initiating action.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or forestry related discipline. Master’s in Forestry, Business Administration or other related advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years in timberland and/or real estate operations, land valuation due diligence and analysis, land sales or acquisitions. Strong analytical, problem solving skills, commercial judgment and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently through self-initiative and collaboration with wider team and customers. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Specific knowledge with respect to forestry, land valuation processes, data management, use of GIS, project management and financial analyses. Demonstrated knowledge of how to sponsor, advocate and build collaborative internal and 3rd party service provider relationships.
