PRIMARY PURPOSE
Serves as the process owner for all ongoing activities related to the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of patient, provider, employee, and business information, ensuring compliance with Parkland's information security policies and procedures.
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
Education: - Must have a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems. Experience: -
Must have eight (8) years of experience in an information systems security environment working with data, software, hardware, network, web and facility access.
Equivalent Education and/or Experience: - May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above. Certification/Registration/Licensure:
-Prefer certifications from Security organizations and vendors. -Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-700.A: National Incident Management System (NIMS) An Introduction by November 1, 2014 or obtain within 30 days of placement in role whichever date is greater. -Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-100.HCB: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS 100) for Healthcare/Hospitals by November 1, 2014 or obtain within 30 days of placement in role whichever date is greater. -Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-200.HCA: Applying ICS to Healthcare Organizations (ICS 200) by November 1, 2014 or obtain within 30 days of placement in role whichever date is greater. Skills or Special Abilities:
- Must have an advanced knowledge of hardware, software, networks, operations, database applications, spreadsheet design, report writing software and telecommunications. -
Must have the ability to explain technology issues in layman terms. - Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with department personnel, user departments, managers, and internal audit with regard to business needs and technical advancements. -
Must understand computerized life cycle methodologies.
- Must have an understanding of personal computers and software packages applicable for management processes
- Must be customer service oriented.
