JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for being a proactive business partner steering organizational growth and change to fulfill business objectives, as well as an associate advocate. This position supports a customer-driven environment that includes building, leveraging, and valuing a diverse, high performance team; driving sales and profit growth; and continuous product improvement.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drives HR strategies and change initiatives within assigned areas
• Ensures managers have the tools needed to help them maximize their associate s productivity (i.e., coaching and motivational leadership skills, legal issues, performance management)
• Leads key HR projects regionally and nationwide and/or direct project teams for programs surrounding talent management and development
• Facilitates/participates in talent management and workforce planning meetings, and provides on-going support and input for field/ Corporate staffing, salaried development and succession plans. Partners with District and Area/Region Managers to identify future leadership capability and build a bench for salaried positions
• Works with training department to ensure just in time training and to identify organizational learning gaps and career and personal development plans

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (Contd.):

• Ensures high risk or sensitive Associate Relations issues are properly addressed and partners with business leadership and Corporate HR team in conducting or assisting with investigations
• Creates an environment of trust, respect and productivity by anticipating and addressing employee relations issues as well as furthers company stances on diversity, shared values, ethics and best practices by addressing legal and compliance related employee relations issues
• Coordinates and facilitates training and development within the region. Coordinates the implementation and execution of corporate management training and development programs. Develops action plans for completing monthly compliance training
• Reviews Affirmative Action plans (as appropriate) to ensure compliance with hiring guidelines that fosters diversity and ensures that Human Resources regulatory issues, such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance, mandatory posting requirements, workers compensation, minimum wage and welfare to work programs are handled properly
• Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors Degree
• 5-10 years of related experience
• Up to 25% travel
• 18 years of age or older

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 5+ years Managerial experience in a Human Resource position
• Strong leadership and organizational skills and the ability to analyze information, identify root causes and develop/implement approved solutions
• In-depth knowledge of current local, State, and National Human Resources legislation
• Ability to support a large hourly and salaried population remotely
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy regarding employee issues at all times
• Project management experience
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Intermediate to advance use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as working knowledge of Human Resource Information System(s)
• Ability to form strong partnerships across reporting relationships
• Ability to communicate in spoken and written English well enough to be understood by direct reports, supervisors, co-workers, and customers
• Ability to enter data and maneuver efficiently using a keyboard, operate a mouse, use telephone and headset equipment, and listen while keying information into the system
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of sitting and some standing and walking, with bending and reaching as necessary Ability to demonstrate self-control by maintaining composure and keeping emotions in check even in difficult situations
• All employees/associates may in the course of their duties come in contact with Credit / Debit Card Data. If this data is exposed as part of their position in the site/center, the associate must protect that data as directed and required by the compliance team to ensure SHC s compliance to current Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS)

PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Experience as Human Resource Manager in a corporate environment
• Experience in sales or call center environment
• Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR, SPHR)
• Ability to relocate for future promotional opportunities
