Job Description

The Manager of ElectricalEngineering is responsible for leading the electricalengineering team that is primarily focused on sustaining engineering and manufacturing operations support for Pyxis and Alaris brand products.

The medical devices from Becton Dickinson work independently and together to provide medication management solutions while helping protect each patient. With various modalities on one platform, our devices and systems help you streamline workflow and manage data across all areas of patient care.


  • Lead the electricalengineering team primarily focused on Sustaining Engineering, Manufacturing Support, and New Product Introduction
  • Manage electronics developed internally and with external partners
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Hardware Engineering
  • Working knowledge of the Product Development Process
  • Experienced with Hardware Test Engineering Practice
  • Familiarity with Risk Management, CAPA, and Failure Investigation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in ElectricalEngineering
  • An advanced degree is highly desirable
  • A minimum of 8+ years related work experiencerequired
  • At least 2years in a management role
  • Must have strong verbal and writing skills
  • A strong motivation to champion and promote continuous improvement
  • Attention to detail is paramount

Project Management

  • Experience setting up schedules, assigning resources and managing schedules to completion
  • Platform portfolio project prioritization, selection and execution
  • Ability to effectively work with, present to, and influence senior management within a matrix, cross-functional, global environment
  • Value cost estimation, budgeting and cash flow analysis

Continuous Improvement Tools and Methodology

  • Familiar with Six Sigma/Lean Process Improvement tools
  • Productivity metrics to constantly measure performance and drive continuous improvement activity
