Minimum 5 years clinical experience in ambulatory services or physician office required.
Previous management experience of at least 3 years duration in an outpatient/physician practice setting preferred.
Requires strong interpersonal, organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
Required License/Certifications/ Registration:
Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support),Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
Working knowledge and understanding of information systems, quality reporting and databases used to measure outcomes
Superior problem solving skills with a high level of personal accountability
Working knowledge of regulatory requirements
Will be accountable for leadership, management, and evaluation of clinical services within
the designated area of clinical practicein coordination with the Director of Clinical Practice and Director/Manager of Practice Operations.
Ensures the delivery of quality patient care via management of clinical services, including clinical orientation and clinical competency, of non-physician providers, including nursing
staff, medical assistants, and social work within the ambulatory setting.
Leads patient care teams in conjunction with Director Clinical Practice to meet customer
needs and to achieve departmental objectives in Quality, Patient Safety, and Excellence in
Clinical Practice within the ambulatory setting.
Oversees compliance of clinical standards set forth by TJC and CMS, other regulatory,and accrediting bodies and agencies and in support of evidence-based practice standards in the ambulatory setting.
Ensures clinical staff member professional growth and development in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Practice.
Assists Director of Clinical Practice to ensure appropriate medical record clinical
documentation and maintenance.
Completes follow-up informal or formal RCA of all clinical EARS reports relative to practice area and reports back to Director of Clinical Practice
Participates in policy/protocol development relative to area of practice for clinical standardization initiatives.
Participates in PI activities/attends committees as deemed appropriate for area of practice.
Collaborates with Manager to facilitate resolution of issues related to clinical functions.
