Has the primary responsibility of achieving high employee engagement to create a distinctive patient experience and assure the provision of quality and safe services through team members within the assigned laboratory section. Oversees laboratory efficiencies, inventory control, LEAN process implementation, and employee safety. Monitors quality performance indicators such as proficiency testing and quality control, participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives, and addressing errors and complaints of the laboratory section.
Bachelors degree: Medical Lab Science or other lab related field. Five year or more of experience in general laboratory experience plus one year of supervisory experience. Appropriate education requirements as define by GA Rule 290-9-8 for clinical laboratory technologist. Specialty certification in any laboratory discipline. Extensive organizational skills. Basic computer knowledge.
Experience in using Cerner, any LIS, Microsoft software, Outlook, Remisol, etc.
