The Manager of Email & Site Marketing is responsible for developing and leading Ann Taylor’s advanced email marketing programs and developing, executing and measuring site marketing strategies and marketing programs to grow online revenue and further develop the brand online. This is a highly visible and strategic role. This position will manage the calendar planning for day-to-day site content and email campaigns along with leading key seasonal campaigns and promotions, special editorial concepts, and key launch initiatives. This role is highly collaborative and requires working with cross-functional partners including members of the CRM, Brand Marketing, Merchandising, Planning, and Creative teams.
Manage all triggered email & SMS programs including lifecycle and behavioral campaigns
Accountable for defining overall email & SMS trigger program strategy and for managing the resulting P&L
Develop demographic, preference, and behavior-based contact strategies and segmentation based upon test results and quantitative research
Partner closely with the CRM team to develop insight-based strategies and uncover new growth opportunities
Lead the triggered Credit Card & Loyalty email program, working closely with our Credit Card/Loyalty Marketing team
Provide strategic thought leadership on use of personalization and geotargeting in email & SMS campaigns
Liaise with Brand Marketing, Creative, Planning, and Merchandising teams to develop campaign design and promotional strategy
Design trigger tests, track test performance, and report on test results
Prepare monthly/quarterly and ad hoc email trigger reporting and refine reporting process
Manage the planning and execution of all aspects of marketing site content and promotions or AnnTaylor.com
Develop on site marketing programs or campaigns to achieve traffic, conversion and sales plans
Maintain the site and marketing calendar
Develop new content/editorial strategies in collaboration with cross-functional partners informed by competitive analysis, web analytics & consumer insights and report out to team and leadership on weekly/monthly basis
Facilitate weekly cross-functional marketing/merchandising reporting meeting.
Understand the Ann Taylor brand promise and ensure consistent, on-brand messaging on site
Establish site marketing success metrics & evaluate report/analyze against key metrics.
Lead/facilitate/manage site and marketing creative projects from concept to launch.
Develop creative briefs and evaluate creative deliverables against objectives specified in creative brief.
Use competitive analysis, web analytics, and internal data to develop ideas for new enhancements, marketing ideas and navigational changes.
Manage email, SMS and site-related marketing budget
Retain, motivate, and develop top talent on email and site marketing teams
Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business preferred
Minimum 5-7 years experience and a demonstrated interest in email marketing required
Strong analytical skills and clear understanding of financial measurements
Ability to turn analysis into action, execute to timelines, and provide comprehensive solutions
Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams
Leader with experience managing a team
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
High degree of fluency across all Microsoft Office applications required
Experience using CheetahMail preferred
Experience in retail a plus
