The Business Manager is responsible for the management of all non-clinical areas of WMHH. The Business Manager prepares and administers budgets and is responsible for all financial operations of WMHH. Responsible for financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, analysis, projections, proformas, revenue and expense accounting and month end close to assure operational and fiscal effectiveness of WMHH. Responsible for inventory and supply management, cost accounting, WakeShare projects and other related fiscal responsibilities. Responsible for interacting with corporate finance to ensure financial integrity via one-up review processes. Works in collaboration with clinical manager to improve financial outcomes by developing and maintaining tools/methods to provide pertinent information, evaluate systems and take appropriate actions to assure financial success and viability. The Business Manager coordinates with Clinical Manager to assure efficiencies and support for patients and clinical staff. Serves as Compliance and Safety officer for WakeMed Home Health and provides annual compliance training for all home health staff in association with WakeMed Health and Hospitals. Coordinates meeting all Environment of Care standards for home health. Coordinates financial and technical computer training and ongoing education of computer systems and processes, especially as related to financial management. Assists Clinical Manager and Executive Director in maintaining continuous readiness for Joint Commission, DFS and other regulatory requirements necessary to maintain Medicare and Medicaid certification and licensure.
Three to five years experience in similar position with Home Health Agency or health care entity. Must have working knowledge of billing, budget preparation, and fiscal management. Supervisory experiencepreferred.
Bachelor's degree in Finance related field, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or other related field required. Master's degreepreferred.
