Conduct routine calibration and instrument performance verification, maintenance, repairs on balances, pH meters, High Performance Liquid Chromatographs, Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatographs, Gas Chromatographs, Fourier-transform Infrared Spectrometers, Ultraviolet-visible Spectrometers, etc. per in-house standard operating procedures.
*** Manage Method Validation instrument calibration program.
*** Create and maintain accurate calibrated and qualified instrument list.
*** Process and report calibration results using instrument specific data processing software and document all activities.
*** Analyze samples to evaluate instrumentation performance and troubleshoot instrument malfunction and or breakdown.
*** Create, review, and revise Standard Operating Procedures and equipment qualification protocols.
*** Contact vendors or service providers to obtain technical information and initiate change control documents.
*** Train and mentor new and existing chemists on instrument operation and maintenance.
*** Ensure compliance with the organization policies and procedures, and state, federal, and local laws.
