Great opportunity to join a Global Agrichemical Company as the strategic North American (NA) Team Leader supporting Analytical/ Synthesis (Methods Development); Product Metabolism, Product Safety Standards; and Regulatory Compliance (EPA). Participate on the Global Leadership Team while developing a challenged, problem-solving analytical team responsible for performing/ delivering scientific studies to ensure a sustainable product safety and registration success. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Scientific Discovery, Platform Management, Organic/ Physical Chemistry, Product and Regulatory studies; and Team Management.
Job Description
--- Develop NA Team capability and manage the group in Analytical and Synthesis Laboratories and Chemical Product Regulatory Studies as part of global organization.
--- Provide in-depth technical knowledge of the Metabolic and Regulatory study requirements primarily in NA (EPA - Environmental Protection Agency) and also globally.
--- Accountable for delivering studies for global and regional project priorities to meet Product Safety and Regulatory standards and business practices.
--- Provide technical and regulatory guidance to ensure success in delivery of studies and projects.
--- Identify, develop and procure internal & external resources and suppliers in the region including US CROs - Contract Research Organizations (regarding resources, delivery issues).
--- Define and maintain critical sustainability of the NA product platform for the future.
--- Develop science strategies and technology for emerging project initiatives that will maximize the opportunities to gain and maintain high quality chemical product registrations.
--- Continue to develop and monitor an outsourcing strategy to maximize flexibility while ensuring ongoing development of scientific and technical capability.
--- Develop solid relationships with key stakeholders, including Regulatory Affairs and regional commercial leaders.
--- Develop a vibrant team with strong connections with R&D (Research & Development) and commercial stakeholders in the region.
--- Drive and ensure delivery of the US product re-registration processes.
--- Serves as the global "business partner" for the NA region.
--- Interface with partners including other Product Safety Sections, Regulatory Affairs, portfolio planning, and resources in the global platform.
Qualifications
--- PHD or Master's Degree in Chemistry Science with background in Physical and Analytical Chemistry; Product Metabolism and Product Regulatory Compliance. Ideal industry experience in chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers, pharmaceutical or otherEPA regulated products.
--- Minimum of 5 years leadership experience, particularly Scientists in Laboratory and Industrial environments
--- HSE (Health, Safety, Environmental), Animal Welfare, GLP (Good Lab Practice) compliance
--- Demonstrated high performance in leading strategic functions and projects
--- Ability to operate effectively across, lead and influence in multicultural environments
