The RoleCognizant is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Integration Program Manager to join its growing Corporate Development team to drive integration planning and execution of companies that Cognizant acquires. The M&A Integration Program Manager reports into the Corporate Development Integration Management Office (IMO) and is supervised by a Corporate Development Integration Lead for each integration.
As an M&A Integration Program Manager, you will need to understand the key business value drivers, identify key issues and risks/conclusions and provide value through insights, factual conclusions and advice as you guide various business and corporate stakeholders through the M&A Integration lifecycle. Key to success will be effective communication, collaboration, and program management skills. You will work closely with a Corporate Development Integration Lead. Responsibilities will include:
- Routinely interacting with, advising and supporting the Corporate Development Integration Lead, corporate work stream leaders and Business Unit leaders in identifying, framing, making and executing appropriate integration decisions;
- Establishing the cross-functional integration team for each integration consisting of a combination of internal and external resources; then architecting, operationalizing and executing all relevant IMO processes, events, plans, reports, metrics, lessons learned or other requirements throughout the M&A lifecycle;
- Actively leading and supporting all corporate function work stream leads and their respective teams to develop and adapt comprehensive and appropriately detailed integration plans and projects linked to key deal value drivers, then coordinating and managing all cross-functional dependencies, priorities and budgets associated with each;
- Participating in the development, planning and execution of all communications, change management and culture related strategies and tactics.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications- 5 years senior level, cross-functional and/or M&A integration leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through the acquisition life cycle
- Collaborative, with strong communications, presentation & project management skills
- Previous experience in building, leading, and facilitating global, diverse, multicultural teams
- Capable of multitasking with rapidly changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- Problem solving with the aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems
- Detail-oriented and able to manage and maintain all facets of complex assignments
Preferred Skills- MS or MBA degree preferred
- Experience leading M&A integration teams working in consulting and/or services related businesses
- Demonstrate the flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments, industries and technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executives and along vertical and horizontal planes internally and in client organizations
