Directs and manages the purchasing planning and procurement efforts of the business unit for components including supplier selection policies, purchase forecasting, delivery parameters, and price negotiations and contracting.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a team of Procurement professionals to deliver on business KPI's
Establish strong relationships with supply partners to ensure business needs are met
Drive long and short-term strategies that operationalize the Company's Mission and Vision
Utilize data analytics to review supplier performance on KPI's and drive continuous improvements
Manage a global network of supply partners and manufacturing operations to ensure reliability and continuity of supply of parts to Mercury operations.
Selects and partners with key suppliers to ensure cost-effective, high quality delivery of products
Maintains positive relations with peers and leadership team members to ensure key deliverables are met and programs are consistently delivered.
Develops and maintains effective partnerships within the organization to ensure consistency of practices and policies
Manages conflict and identifies escalation paths
Ensure a Safe, Compliant, and Ethical Work Environment
Develop and manage Internal budgets
Manages, engages in, and promotes continuous cost reduction and quality improvement efforts
Leverage data analytics to make strategic and tactical business decisions
Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience in the field.
Advanced negotiation skills (*Excellent analytical computer skills with Microsoft personal productivity products
Excellent verbal and written communications
Strong leadership and managerial skills, as well as project management
Ability to define a vision and strategy for procurement
Strong planning, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Expert knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, listening, negotiation, etc).
Understanding the importance of customer service and internal stakeholder management
