Membrane Specialist - Food Separation at Alfa Laval Corporate AB in Greenwood, IN

Responsible for providing technical solution in a complex customer project working together with the sales and service team, on specific Alfa Laval product or application.

This person will be the local expert and trainer for a specific Alfa Laval product or application.

1. Work with existing relations or in complex projects and in what is generated by sales tam

2. Lead the technical part of a customer project making visits, meetings and interactions to customers, focusing on product presentations to offer a customized value proposition to the customer.

3. Lead and Support in the complex quotation process in a customer project.

4. Be product champion in a product launch campaign or in product campaigns and drives.

5. Be local trainer for a specific product and application: Define and delivery local training programs for the AL employees, channels and customers.

Core Job Responsibilities:

• Develop membrane pilot test plans for customers utilizing Alfa Laval pilot equipment and membranes
• Manage membrane piloting activities and execute pilot tests as required
• Prepare membrane test reports for customers and for internal use
• Provide process and application support for both internal and external customers
• Support Alfa Laval membrane base business which could include the following: site support; audits; training; commissioning
• Execute system and process design specifications for new project inquiries in collaboration with the central team in Denmark
• Support R&D efforts as it relates to application and process development, as well as new product development efforts for new system designs and membranes
• Participate in trade shows and conferences to help promote Alfa Laval’s membrane technologies
• Traveling requirement (US): 50%

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION DESIRED

• Education (degree or years) and/or Certification/Registration:

BSME or BSChE or equivalent work experience required

• Type and Length of Experience:

5 years minimum related technical experience

• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes Desired in Candidate:

Competence in membrane technology and food markets
