This role is to manage the Medicare Finance team for KPWA. This role will align under the larger KP NMF (National Medicare Finance) team.
Manage staff responsible for financial analysis, product evaluation, and profitability projections to evaluate Medicare program performance and reimbursements, support strategic planning and rate setting. Responsible for accurately accounting, reporting and analyzing Medicare revenue and assure compliance with GAAP. Manage staff priorities, workload, performance and provide for staff development.
Manage staff responsible for federal reporting requirements This includes compliance and financial reporting to CMS for Medicare Advantage products. Assure compliance to these requirements and represent KPWA in related governmental audits.
Assist NMF with the development of complex annual financial and rate filing for Medicare program (competitive bid submissions) with high organizational and regulatory exposure and constantly changing requirements and processes.
Monitor, evaluate, and analyze complex and constantly changing regulatory and political environment to determine financial, reimbursement, and/or operational impact to KPWA. Assimilate regulatory changes as appropriate. Provide consultative and Medicare expertise to organization by participating and leading projects and workgroups, as called upon. Assure compliance with Medicare regulatory and contractual requirements.
Minimum three (3) years of experience with complex financial analysis and Medicare program reimbursement.
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
