The Role:

We are seeking a Media Director to work with and grow R2i’s amazing roster of technology clients as well as support business development efforts to expand that portfolio. This role will focus on accelerating our clients’ ROI by leading the development and execution of cross-channel media strategies across all digital and traditional channels including content syndication, display, paid search, social, OOH, broadcast, and print. Who Are You:

A rock star with at least 10+ year of hands-on experience in media planning and buying across digital and traditional channels. You have an experienced portfolio specifically in B2B tech marketing and ABM, and you excel at creating and managing unique and cutting-edge media strategies to help clients meet greater business goals. You’re able to dive into existing plans and find opportunities for improvement, are a master of maximizing ROI via ongoing optimizations, and can clearly communicate those optimizations, results, and strategies to a broad audience including executive levels. You are also able to lead new engagements from scratch helping to define the right strategy and mix to solve business problems across the entire brand and demand funnel.

You’re passionate about media and love finding new and innovative ways to leverage targeting, tactics, and technology, all to drive greater return on investment for clients and help them meet their marketing and business goals. You’re fluent in the language of B2B marketing and technology, and can speak intelligently across the board on account based marketing, target account lists, paid search advertising, programmatic media, OOH, premium partnerships, and the role of media in a larger marketing strategy. You know the landscape of media vendors and can speak just as confidently about your experience running ABM programs with certain vendors as you do about paid search via AdWords. You are an exceptional communicator and can work within teams and clients to not only sell the big ideas, but also collaborate and comprise to meet goals, budgets, and time constraints.


  • Develop and manage end-to-end media campaigns and seek new areas of opportunity through research and analysis, vendor identification and evaluation, campaign strategy, CPA optimization, and landing page testing
  • Assist R2i’s Sales and Client Services teams with new business opportunities including pitches and proposal creation
  • Work with cross-functional teams including media planners to plan, implement, and improve account performance aligned with client goals and initiatives
  • Proactively manage relationships with media vendors
  • Provide benchmark and tracking reports to Account Managers, Clients, and Media Team on key performance indicators and provide insights on how these map to larger client goals
  • Analyze trends and improve media performance based on the client’s KPIs
  • Drive innovation and implement testing strategies to continually uncover optimization levers, enhance learning, and improve performance
  • Actively participate in client meetings, including presentations of strategies to clients and prospects.


  • 10+ years of media planning and buying experience; agency environment a must
  • Experience with B2B tech marketing and specifically Account Based Marketing tactics and technology
  • Google Adwords, IAB, Facebook, and other media certification a plus
  • Experience with online marketing metrics such as ROI, click-through rate, cost-per-click, cost-per-action, cost-per-lead, conversion rate, average order size, etc.
  • Exceptional analytics, project management skills, writing and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment on a geographically distributed team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with 3rd party media tools such as Adobe Ad Cloud, Kenshoo, Marin, DoubleClick, etc. a bonus
  • Significant client-facing experience and comfort with presenting and pitching to executive levels
