Job Description


Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Solutions Specialist. Location for this role is flexible and may reside in any of Ryan's main regional office locations.

The purpose of this position is to provide mechanical system design, efficiency, and cost advisement to project teams. This individual engage project teams to consistently provide customer focused design management, quality control, environmentally conscious, competitive and reliable pricing, while maintaining a reasonable profit. Specific responsibilities include leadership, guidance, and training for Preconstruction and Project Management staff to consistently perform design review, performance specification, energy and risk assessment, and cost intelligence of building mechanical systems across all regions, while managing the overall marketing message of selling these professional services.

Professional background must include 10+ years' of experience in commercial construction and 5 years in a preconstruction or design role. Other qualifications include bachelors' degree in mechanical or construction engineering, or technical college equivalent, advanced knowledge of mechanical design and construction means and methods, procurement strategies, estimating, scheduling, quality control, and mechanical system operation, and thorough knowledge of architectural, engineering, and construction processes. Must be highly motivated with strong independence but also a proven team player, the ability to communicate and listen effectively, and work well with others at all levels of the organization, training, managing and holding staff accountable, displaying honesty and integrity, while having a strong personal presence, including sales and presentation skills. Experience with both mechanical design and construction is preferred. As a national company travel will be required.
