Mechanical Engineer - STM Project at SNC-Lavalin in Montreal, QC

The team member of the Project Office dedicated to the Réno-Infrastructures program will have to carry out work on the infrastructures of the metro network, including major repairs to certain metro stations. The permanent work carried out under this mandate aims to upgrade the architectural, structural and electromechanical components of the building in order to ensure their sustainability. These large-scale works include the repair of the 600V and less electrical distribution, accessibility of the metro, repair of waterproofing membranes on station roofs and repair of fire alarm systems.

What will be your contribution to the team?

• Design building mechanical systems such as ventilation, chilled water and heating networks, air humidification and dehumidification, plumbing;
• Perform calculations related to the discipline;
• Write the technical specifications and reports necessary for the realization of projects;
• Carry out work and life cycle cost estimates;
• Participate in work supervision and perform end-of-work inspections;
• Provide assistance to technical staff.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with specialization in building mechanics;
• Be a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ);
• Have more than 10 years of relevant experience;
• Knowledge and application of REVIT MEP, an asset;
• Hold the LEED PA accreditation, an asset
• Fluency in French (spoken / written), bilingualism (spoken and written) an asset.
