Job Description

The Mechanical Engineering position is responsible for the execution of the design and development of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) components, for passenger rail transit vehicles.

The HVAC Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design of frames, component installation, piping installation, developing the wiring and conduit installation within unitized HVAC unit for rail vehicles, in cooperation with the HVAC System Engineer and the Electrical Engineer. Mechanical design of external control boxes containing microprocessor control units, contactors, relays, or similar equipment will also be within the responsibility of the HVAC Mechanical Engineer.

The primary objectives of this position are to develop designs on-time per the project schedule, in accordance with customer specifications, and to release high quality, accurate technical documentation to allow procurement of materials and manufacture of the designs.
