Job Description

Must be able to conceptualize and design parts using a variety of fabrication processes. They must be able to create models of parts in CAD and create accurate and concise fabrication and assembly documentation that follow industry standards and communicate with a vast audience. Their designs must be optimized for cost and ease of manufacturing. They will also be involved in design reviews, component selection, perform tolerance analysis, and prototyping of new designs. Must have a minimum of 14 years’ experience using Creo (ProE).

Qualifications

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

 
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Must have a minimum of 14 years’ experience using Creo (ProE).

Hands-on fabrication experience


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with injection molding plastics, vacuum forming plastics, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, connector selection, cable design, graphics design, rendering in CAD, and familiar with the PCB fabrication process.

Typical Education/Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
