Participate in Project Team engineering and design audit visits and supporting activities.
Prepare engineering design and bid document development in support of construction, operations, and maintenance of customer site programs and projects in accordance with energy savings performance contract requirements.
Analyze and prepare conceptual and detailed engineering design and bid documents, cost estimates, drawings, and specifications for energy efficient building technology and system measures.
Coordinate with vendors and installation contractors for feasibility and pricing verification of proposed project modifications.
Provide engineering guidance throughout construction, project commissioning, and operations.
Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships at all levels and project phases.
Manage project expenditures and job cost accounting: including documentation, approvals, tracking, and reporting for engineering aspects.
Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes and successful project implementation that meets or exceeds company objectives, financial parameters, and technical needs required to deliver customer energy cost savings.
Perform other duties as required.
BSME or equivalent four year technical engineering degree.
Minimum 5 years’ HVAC system analysis and design engineering experience, with exposure to facility operations and mechanical installation projects involving co-generation, heating, cooling, lighting, building controls, and automation technologies.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cogeneration on systems from 60 KW up to 1 MW highly desirable. Proven ability to manage and complete complex projects in a timely, cost-effective manner.
Excellent verbal, written, computer, and technical communication and presentations skills, including advanced MS Office, Word, Excel proficiency, MS Project, and Primavera.
Experience utilizing Trane Trace 700, Carrier HAP Heading and Cooling Load programs, eQuest energy modeling software preferred.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit MEP highly desirable.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
