CPI Malibu takes an analytical approach to design and manufacture through the use of CAD, CAE, large-scale graphics and computer-controlled machining. Two anechoic chambers (including a compact range) and a well-equipped, small volume production machine shop support our capabilities and enable CPI Malibu to react quickly to customer’s requests. We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler to support manual assembly of antenna systems, subassemblies, gearboxes, bearings, circuit boards, other related electronic or communication equipment, electro-mechanical components, cabling connectors, wire harnessing, routing, pulling and cable assembly to assembly antennas, RF assemblies, and telemetry systems. Will use an array of hand and power tools.

DUTIES AND REPONSIBILTIES:
• Assemble, inspect, and package a variety of antenna systems and components.
• May assemble components using mechanical aids such as presses and jigs.
• Follow MEI’s, job directions, engineering drawings to set up work areas and assemblies.
• Use hand and power tools as needed.
• Record and document work orders and reconcile work related reports as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• May partner with lower lever assemblers to mentor, train and direct work as assigned.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs for a prolonged period of time. Lift, carry, and manipulate a variety of weights frequently. Ability to write, operate a personal computer, calculator, and communicate with other Company employees, customers and suppliers as required.

This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Requirements QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• A minimum of 5 year’s work experience.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Understanding of assembly drawings and blue print reading.
• Knowledge of, ESD practices and SDS.
• Attention to detail and complete quality product.
• Basic computer skills
• Flexible, team attitude, quick learner and self-motivated
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
