Approximately 80% of current Stress Engineering Services business is repeat or direct referral. We take on some of industries’ most difficult problems utilizing approximately 360 employees, including 215 engineers. We have some of the largest testing facilities in the industry.


We are seeking a mechanical or electrical engineer with experience and interests that intersect mechanical, electrical and software engineering disciplines. The ideal candidate will have experience in some of the following or similar activities:

• Measurements using a variety of measurement techniques and transducers; strain, load, pressure, level, flow, temperature, vibration
• Developing, selecting or using measurement systems; signal conditioning, basic electronics and troubleshooting
• Developing software; C#, VB.NET, LabVIEW, ANSI C, VB6 or other similar languages, preferably multi-language experience
• Developing solutions using bus protocols; Modbus, CAN, I2C, SPI or others
• Architecting and developing object oriented software solutions
• Interfacing software to data acquisition or control hardware
• Using or developing feedback control systems including control system tuning and algorithm development
• Embedded programming of microcontrollers, preferably using .NET Micro Framework or similar
• Developing analytical software tools using a variety of numerical analysis techniques
• Working with and controlling hydraulic or pneumatic systems

  • Responsibilities for the position include:

• Designing, developing, deploying, maintenance and troubleshooting of measurement & control systems
• Developing measurement, control and analytical software solutions
• Working in client facilities for testing or systems integration and installation
• Preparation of proposals and technical reports
• Preparation and oversight of complete project documentation including technical manuals, drawings, and certifications
• Contributing to the growth of the company through participation in technical associations and preparation of papers or presentations



  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a practicing engineer
  • Must be willing and able to travel on occasion and work in a variety of environments
  • Travel could be worldwide and the applicant must have or be able to obtain a passport without restrictions
